To our beloved children...,...*~*~*
"The day that you see us old,
have patience and above all try to understand us,"
If, when we talk to you, we repeat the same things thousand and one times !
Do not interrupt us..... listen to us !
When you were young children, we had to read to you the same story,
night after night, until you get to sleep.
When we do not want to have a shower,
neither embarrass us , nor scold us.
Remember when, we had to chase you with a thousand excuses we invented,
in order to get you to bathe, when you were young children
When you see our ignorance on new technologies,
give us the necessary time and not look at us with a mocking face.
We taught you how to do so many things .. to eat properly...
to dress well... to confront life...
"The day you notice we become older,
have patience and above all try to understand us".
If occasionally we lose the memory
or the thread of our conversation...
Let us have the necessary time to remember...
and if we cannot do it, do not become nervous or arrogant,
as the most important thing for us,
is to be with you and to have you, listening to us.
If ever we do not want to eat, do not force us !
We know well when we need to and when we don't.
When our tired legs won't allow us to walk as before ...
...give us your hand the same way we did when you made your first steps,
and when someday, we will tell you that we do not want to live any more...
that we want to die... do not get angry ...
because one day, you will understand !
Try to put in your mind that at our age, we do not live any more.
We just exist.
Some day, you will discover that despite our mistakes,
we always wanted the best thing for you and that
we tried to prepare the way for you, for when you'll be older.
You must not feel sad, angry or incompetent
for seeing us this way.
You must be next to us, try to understand us and help us.
Help us to walk ... help us to end our life with love and patience.
We will thank you by a smile and by the immense love
we have had always for you.
We love you .... dearest children
Your Mum and Dad
